Some 25 years ago, "The Wedding Cake In The Middle Of The Road" was an anthology conceived by Susan Stamberg as a writers and spoken word series on NPR. It has served as inspiration for writing classes ever since, as it did when I studied under the wonderful Julia Thacker in the mid-90's.
